As part of a multidisciplinary research team at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, I contributed to a technical and economic evaluation of water reuse technologies in small and medium-sized industries from the food, textile, leather, and electroplating sectors in the Aburrá Valley.

The project, developed in partnership with the Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá, focused on identifying high-impact stages in production processes and piloting cleaner production alternatives. Through real-case diagnostics, water balances, and feasibility analyses, we proposed cost-effective solutions for water reuse, achieving measurable reductions in water consumption and pollutant discharges. The findings provided replicable models for local industries and served as a baseline for regional sustainability planning.
